Paul Eli Johnson, 27, of Hot Springs, Virginia, formerly of Mustoe, Virginia, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.

He was born August 6, 1983 in Leesburg, Virginia, the son of Robert L. Johnson and Joyce Gill.

Paul was a 2002 Graduate of Highland County High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He attended Eastern Mennonite University. He was a quiet and friendly person who was generous to all. He enjoyed photography and computer programming. Paul was very fond of animals, especially his dogs, Jake, Mack, Leroy, Mattie and Hanna.

He is survived by his father & step mother, Robert L. & Patsye Johnson of Deerfield, Virginia; his mother, Joyce Gill of Damariscotta, Maine; a brother, Tyler B. Johnson of Christiansburg, Virginia.

A memorial services will be held at a later date.
