Michael “Mike” Dean Wallace, 61, of Millboro, Virginia died Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Augusta County, Virginia.
He was born January 28, 1957 in Covington, Virginia, the son of Kenneth Robert Wallace I and the late Wanda Jean Roberts Wallace.
Mike was formerly self-employed in lawn service and landscaping, the owner of Lawn Ranger Lawn Service for the last 20 years, as well as working as a technical engineer contractor for NASA. He was a former member of Millboro Volunteer Fire Dept. and Millboro Ruritan Club and was a loving father, avid outdoorsman, hunter, and a sports fanatic, especially baseball. He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed coaching his children’s little league teams, and later working as a referee and umpire. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He attended Old Dominion University and got an associate’s degree from Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton, Virginia.
He is survived by a special friend, Kelly McCown; his son, Christopher Michael Wallace and wife Emily of Covington; foster daughters, Stormi Yost and fiancé Josh Shulze of Lawton, Oklahoma, Ashlie Vaughan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Kenneth Wallace II of Williamsburg; sisters, Trina London of Goshen, Judy Maliwauki of Hot Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service will be conducted by the family at a later time.
