Betty Lou Keyser Ryder Giles, 83, of Huntington, Indiana passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at her home. 

     She was born August 24, 1937 in Bath County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Littleton Andrew Keyser and Edith Gillispie Keyser.

     Betty was formerly employed at the Homestead Hotel and Memcor Inc.

     She was a housewife and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She enjoyed walking, was an avid sports fan who loved NASCAR and football, and thought that Tom Brady was the man.

     Betty is survived by her children: Tommy Ryder of Churchville, VA, Bill Ryder of Huntington, IN, Russell Ryder and wife Erica of Marion, IN, William “BJ” Giles, Jr. of Huntington;  grandchildren: Tommy “TJ” Ryder, Jr., Michelle Barnhart, Daniel Rangel, Danielle Rangel; 10 great grandchildren; and two brothers; Bobby Keyser of Marion, and Gary Keyser of Florida.

     She was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell Ryder and William Giles, Sr.; two sisters, Nancy Keyser and Karen Craig; and a brother, Mosey Keyser.

     A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2021 at Warm Springs Cemetery with John Young officiating.

     Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
