Juanita Bertice Jones, 67, of Newport News, Virginia, originally of Warm Springs, Virginia, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022.
She was born February 25, 1955, in Bath County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Margaret F. Jones.
Ms. Jones retired from the Williamsburg Inn where she worked as a waitress.
She was a faithful member of the New Beech Grove Baptist Church in Newport News where she sang in the choir and enjoyed being with her church family every week. She truly believed in the Lord. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend to all.
She raised two children whom she loved dearly, Alexis Mosley and Anthony Mosley both of Newport News; two sisters, Dorothy Jones of Newport News, Patricia Church, and husband Carl of Warm Springs; a brother, John Jones of Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins all of whom she dearly loved.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., January 7, 2023, at the New Beech Grove Baptist Church in Newport News. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.
A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30, Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the West Warm Springs Cemetery.
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing away of such a wonderful person! Juanita was the poster child for kind and loving, she will be missed!
