Janet Grey Webb Williams, 86, of Millboro, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Highland House in Clifton Forge, Virginia.

She was born May 26, 1937, in Bath County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Harris Preston Webb, Sr., and Millie Delphia Marcum Webb McNeal.

She was married to the late Dallas Lee Williams, her husband of 44 years, who preceded her in death on February 24, 1999.

Mrs. Williams was a bus driver for the Bath County Public School System with 27 years of service. She attended West Minster Chapel in Millboro. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. She loved to decorate her home and working crossword puzzles. She loved writing poetry and drawing cartoons. Mrs. Williams had a beautiful voice and would sing hymns, sometimes accompanied on the guitar by her siblings and other family members. Family gatherings were very important to her, as she took great joy in being with her loved ones. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Douglas D. Williams and wife Millie, Todd C. Williams, Lisa M. Cambata & husband Bruce all of Millboro, Lana D. Thacker and husband Ricky of Maryland; grandchildren, Travis Williams & wife Emma, Joshua Loan, Alex Cambata, Megan Mawhorr & husband Jason, and Leah Cline & husband Chase; great granddaughter, McKenna Mawhorr; brother-in-law, Willie McCune of Verona, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by, a brother, Harris “Buddy” Preston Webb, Jr.; four sisters, Rhoda Frances Webb, Helen Webb McCune, Greta Webb McCune, Marie Webb Cappelletty Hartley.

A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Woodland Cemetery in Millboro with Reverend Rob Sherrard, officiating. In case of inclement weather, the services will be moved inside Woodland Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Millboro Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 295, Millboro Virginia, 24460.

  2. Very nice mom. I enjoyed my time that I got to spend with her. She will be missed. She is in Gods hands, and she will be loved forever. My God blessed her families and friends with love.
