Ann Marie Bennett, 69, of 109 Bolshers Run Lane, Millboro, Virginia died Monday, August 13, 2012 at the residence of her daughter in Rockbridge Baths, Virginia.
She was born June 13, 1943 in Weehawken, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Stephen Vanicek and Pauline Biskupic Vanicek.
She was married to George Lee Bennett, Jr., her husband of 10 years whom she married on April 27, 2002.
Mrs. Bennett was a retired nurse with the Virginia Department of Corrections-Augusta Correctional Center in Craigsville, Virginia.
She was a member of Shrine of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hot Springs. She enjoyed the outdoors; loved to fish, hunt, and ride motorcycles. She enjoyed woodworking and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, George Lee Bennett, Jr. of Millboro, Virginia; four daughters, Hope Foukarakis of Craigsville, Virginia, Pam Broadbent & husband Eric of Rockbridge Baths, Virginia, Krista Manganiotis of Toms River, New Jersey and Paula Manganiotis of Toms River, New Jersey; three stepsons, Jacob Bennett of Verona, Virginia, Walter Rodriguez & wife Loretta of Clinton North Carolina and Rafael Rodriguez of Toms River, New Jersey; a step daughter, Caitlan Bennett of Staunton, Virginia; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grand children; a brother, Richard Vanicck of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Pauline Johnson of Toms River, New Jersey and Eleanor Fauber of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania; a sister-in-law, Denise Bennett of Staunton, Virginia.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 17, 2012 at Shrine of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father John McGinnity as the Celebrant.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McLaughlin and Young Funeral Home.

Mrs .Ann Bennett also had sister in law Audrey Hedrick and her husband Ray,a sister in law Susan Gutierrez and husband Louie,and a Brother in law Ira Bennett.May she rest in Peace
