Karin E. Allen

Karin E. Allen, 74 of Hot Springs, Virginia, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Springs Nursing Center in Hot Springs.
She was born May 6, 1939 in Germany, the daughter of the late Helmut Wahn and Anneliese Baar. Karin came to the United States in 1965 and worked for many different top rated hotels throughout the United States.
Ms. Allen retired from the Homestead Resort in 2004 as Sales & Conference Service Manager. She attended St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. She loved her dogs, especially Lady & Gus and enjoyed riding horses. Karin enjoyed life to its fullest.
She is survived by an aunt who raised Karin, Ulla Wittwer; a cousin, who was like a sister to her, Renate Zielke; two sisters, Dr. Sybille Zink and Gabriele Schulz; two brothers, Hartmut Wahn and Guenter Wahn; two nieces, Tanja & Britta Zielke; special friends, Hans Huebner and Hella & Cecil Armstrong.
A private service will be held at a later date.
