Edward Paul Cook, 88, of Mt. Grove, Virginia passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at The Highland House in Clifton Forge, Virginia.
He was born June 1, 1930 in Alleghany County, Virginia, the son of the late Isaac Newton Cook and Eva Marie De’prease Cook .
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.
Mr. Cook was a retired farmer, who loved the land and the outdoors. His motto was “cows come first”.
He is survived by a son, Isaac and a daughter, Edna; and a special friend and caretaker, Artie Barnes of Mountain Grove.
He was preceded in death by Brothers & Sisters: Arnold, Johnny, Frances, Emma, Mary, Beulah, Edna and Marie.
A private graveside service was held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with John Young officiating.
