Eleanor “Cookie” Conner Fry, 83, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Roanoke Memorial.
She was born on September 13, 1941, in Bath County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Erbie Conner and Mary Conner.
She was married to Bobby Kenneth Fry, her husband of 63 years, whom she married on November 20, 1961.
Cookie attended Madison Teachers College in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She retired from the Bath County School System as a teacher assistant with over 40 years of service.
She was a faithful and dedicated member of Hot Springs Presbyterian Church for 78 years. Cookie loved to sing in the choir and was often called the “Rock” of the church. She was a volunteer for Bath County Meals on Wheels and worked with the Red Cross Blood Mobile. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend to all.
In addition to her husband, Bobby Kenneth Fry of Hot Springs, she is survived by two children, Kenneth Jordan Fry & wife Patricia and Kipp Conner Fry of all of Hot Springs; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Hot Springs Presbyterian Church with Reverend Scott Conrad officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the church.
