Evangaline May Jackson, 86, of Charlottesville, Virginia, formerly of Hot Springs, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the Charlottesville Health and Rehab.
Ms. Jackson was born April 13, 1937, in Bath County, the daughter of the late Otis Lavern Jackson and Sadie Bell Falls Jackson. Ms. Jackson was a member of the Burnsville United Methodist Church. She spent her early life on their family farm in Burnsville, Virginia with her 6 younger siblings.
She is survived by a brother, Harle Jackson & wife Betty of Verona, Virginia; two sisters, Shirley Campbell & husband Al of Gordonsville, Virginia and Patty Bostic & husband Paul of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Roake, and Karen Gibson; and a brother, James Jackson.
She made many friends over the years at both Scott Hill and Charlottesville Health & Rehab and was loved by her friends and family for her ease of laughter, loyalty, and cheerfulness. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, and doing art projects. She was like a ray of sunshine and always happy to see you. Because of her love of people and joyful personality she will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Warm Springs Cemetery.
