Harold William “Billy” Keyser, Sr., 77, of Hot Springs, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the Springs Nursing Center in Hot Springs.
He was born January 25, 1948, in Bath County, Virginia, the son of the late Ralph Keyser and Estelle Jackson Keyser.
Mr. Keyser retired from the Homestead Resort where he worked in Valet Parking. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was a member of the Healing Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Keyser was the founding member of the Chestnut Ridge Hunt Club.
He is survived by two children, Harold Keyser, Jr. & Fiancé Sharrie Woodzell of Warm Springs, Virginia, and Tracy Roberts and Fiancé Gary Ryder of Mountain Grove, Virginia; two grandchildren, Chandler Keyser, and Laci Ryder; and two sisters, Joyce Strength Prattville, Alabama, and Margo Leach & husband Lawrence of Staunton, Virginia; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Tommy, Carl, Charles “Skeets”, and Ralph H. Keyser, Jr., and two sisters, Sallie Keyser and Mary Holland.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 3, 2025, at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Goforth officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scott Carpenter, Chuck Herman, Tony Smith, Craig Harold, David Keyser, and David Chestnut.
Honorary pallbearers will be Popeye Hite.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 11:00 – 12:00 noon.
