Jerald “Duck” Hubert Gray, 82, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Catawba Hospital, in Catawba, Virginia.

He was born May 11, 1943, in Laurel, Maryland, the son of the late George Gray and Louise Curry Gray.

He was married to the late Cynthia Ann Beard Gray who preceded him in death on May 8, 2015.

Duck retired from the maintenance department at The Homestead Resort. Prior to that he was a firefighter in Prince George County. He also worked at Back Creek as a welder.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was a member of Eden Church and a past member of Hot Springs Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed reading westerns and traveling throughout the United States. He was a lifetime member of the Hot Springs Fire Department. Duck was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by children, Debbie Williams & husband Gilbert of Hot Springs, Virginia, Ron Gray & wife Johnnie Lou of Bacova, Virginia, and Jerry Gray of Covington, Virginia;  grandchildren, Joshua Williams & wife Valinda, Jonathan Williams & wife Casey, Nicholas George, Kristin Power & friend Gary Haynes, Stephanie Loan & husband Eddie, and Andrew Gray; great grandchildren, Kenzlie, Jacob, Logan, Madeline, Lillian, Erick, Aurora, Cameron, Luca, and Annabelle; special friends, Claudia & Eddie McAllister, May-lynn Bayles, and Ted & Gloria Lovel.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Gray.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Eden Church with Bill Gram & Steve Shaver officiating.
