Joseph Lee Hodge, 78, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at LewisGale Hospital Alleghany in Low Moor, Virginia.

He was born June 24, 1946, in Bath County, Virginia, the son of the late James Henry Marshall Hodge and Elizabeth Sippy Jacobs Hodge.

Joseph was an employ at the Homestead Resort where he worked in the laundry department until his retirement in 2008 after more than 20 years of service.

He loved to work, read books, and go shopping. He dearly loved his family and spending time with them.

Joseph is survived by a brother, David L. Hodge & wife Ida of Hot Springs; a sister; Elizabeth “Betty” Ryder also of Hot Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters & brothers-in-law, Ellen Purvis & husband Buddy & Darlene Hise & husband Burley.

Interment will be in Lockridge Cemetery in Highland County at a later date.
