Lap Yui Cheung, 75, of Palmyra, Virginia passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at UVA. 

     He was born May 5, 1945 in Fuzhou, China, the son of the late Yee Cheung.

     Mr. Cheung was the retired owner and operator of Golden China Restaurant, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

     He is survived by his wife, Sauchun Poon Cheung of Palmyra; children: Fai Kwok Cheung and wife Sherry Wai Chan, Ho Kwok Cheung and wife Yan Hua Guo, both of Palmyra; and grandchildren: Brandon Hengfung Cheung, Grace Cheung, and Caroline Cheung.

     He was preceded in death by a son, Keung Kwok Cheung.

     A private family service will be conducted at Monticello Memory Gardens with John Young officiating.
