Megan Renae Colvin, 25, of Craigsville, Virginia died Wednesday evening, June 6, 2012 at her residence.
Megan was born October 16, 1986 in Charlottesville, Virginia, the daughter of Thomas Edward Sprouse, Jr. & Wanda Faye Colvin. She attended People’s Baptist Church and enjoyed the outdoors and music. She especially loved art and spending time with her dog, “Baby Girl.”
She is survived by her mother, Wanda Colvin, and a “special step father”, David Woods, both of Craigsville; a sister, Tiffany Colvin of Craigsville; a brother, Gary Sprouse of Fishersville; two uncles, Donnie Colvin & wife Emma of Staunton, and Stanley “Bucky” Colvin of Craigsville; three aunts, Judy Martin of Craigsville, Betty Hostetter of Craigsville and Kathy Griffin of McDowell; a special nephew, Dylan Colvin of Craigsville; a special friend, Millie Hicks of Craigsville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Edward Sprouse, Jr.; her grandparents, Buster & Polly Colvin and Thomas & Lorraine Sprouse; and a niece, Summer Fitzgerald.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Craigsville Funeral Home with Pastors Claude Williams and William Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Craigsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Shipplet, Bryan Hilderbrand, Richard Fox, William Leed, Donnie Colvin, Steve Ingram and Johnny Ingram. Honorary pallbearers will be friends who attend the service. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Craigsville Funeral Home.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time. Meghan was a very sweet and kind girl. I will always remember her for her kindness. Please know that Meghan is in a better place where there are no tears and no more pain. This is always a time where joy and sorrow meet.
