Agnes Alease Hobart, 78, of 220 Oak Street , Craigsville, Virginia, 24430 died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at her residence.
She was born January 21, 1934 in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Wade Hampton Carpenter and Gladys Mae Scott. She was married to the late Gerald Joseph Hobart.
She owned & operated a personal house cleaning business and worked in many restaurants. She managed French’s Diner in Marlinton, West Virginia.
Mrs. Hobart was a loving mother, grandmother & great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and sewing.
She is survived by four daughters, Brenda Galford of Maryland, Kimberly Marker of Ruffsdale, Pennsylvania, Valerie Smith of Stompin Creek, West Virginia and Audra Buzzard of Craigsville; two sons, Sephen Galford of Glendale, Maryland and Michael Galford of Maryland; a step-son, James “Jimmy” Hobart & wife Valerie of Bowie, Maryland and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Karr; an infant son, Roger; and two brothers, Harley & Harold Carpenter.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
