Amy Claire Nichols Wright, 53, of Glen, West Virginia, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born November 9, 1962, the youngest of four daughters born to Fred Nichols and Margery (Young) Nichols. She and her sisters were raised in New Boston, Michigan, where her parents settled after WWII.
Amy had a multitude of friends as she never met a stranger…her loyal and generous spirit touched so many lives.
Amy’s daughter, Chantelle Rose Johnson, was her pride and joy, “the best thing she ever did.” Amy married Thomas John Wright on August 11, 2015; she said this was the happiest day of her life.
She also leaves behind her sister, Jeannie Nichols Gilley and friend, Jeff Morris; nephews, Michael Solomon and wife, Yuki, Joseph Gilley; niece and best friend, Sara Grace; sister, Karen Rae Nichols Blaharski and husband, Lou; nephews, Aaron Blaharski and wife, Anastasia, Timothy Blaharski; niece, Katy Blaharski; sister, Linda Grace Nichols; nephew, Jon Nichols; Chantelle’s fiancé, Chase Ballard; many cousins, and her faithful dog, Larry.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 28, at her residence.
