Anthony James Torr, 83, of Stirling, New Jersey passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 in Franklin Township, NJ. 

     He was born July 13, 1937 in Maplewood, NJ, the son of the late Nicholas Torr and Mildred Conger Torr.

     Anthony was the owner of Torr’s Valero in Watchung, NJ, serving his community with over 50 years of service.

     He was a hardworking man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a friend to all.

     Anthony is survived by his wife of 38 years, Margaret Keyes Torr; 3 children, Deborah Delaney, Lisa Truitt, Maria Caggiano; 7 grandchildren, Stephen, Kristina, Bryan, Michael, Natalie, Alyssa, Jessica; sister, Sylvia Ianiro; and mother-in-law, Polly Keyes Chestnut of Hot Springs, Virginia.

     A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2020 at Mountain Grove Cemetery with Father Thomas Collins officiating.

     Memorial contributions may be made to Plainfield Humane Society, 75 Rock Ave., Plainfield, NJ 07063.
