BobbyBobby Jerrell “Buzz” Hise, 70, of Warm Springs, Virginia passed away Friday, September 06, 2019 at the Bath Community Hospital in Hot Springs, Virginia.

He was born September 7, 1948 in Bath County, Virginia, the son of the late John Robert Hise and Mary Virginia Robertson.

Mr. Hise was a caregiver; prior to that he was employed with the Homestead Garage. He was a member of the Chimney Run Church of the Brethren; and enjoyed being outside and working on automobiles. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He was married to Brenda Marie Smith Hise who preceded him in death on July 14, 2001.

He is survived by two children, Chris Hise & wife Becki of Craigsville, Virginia, Cindy M. Hise Martin & husband Dennis of Covington, Virginia; four grandchildren, Alex & Ethan Martin of Covington, Stephanie Bowles of Craigsville, Justin Johnson of Concord, North Carolina; great grandchildren, Kiralynn Bowles & Bradley Johnson; a brother; John Michael Hise of Warm Springs; a sister, Mary Ann Bogan of Warm Springs; his companion of 15 years, Mary Beth Whitelaw of Warm Springs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, William Bogan.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the Chimney Run Church of the Brethren with Pastor Billy Robertson officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gary Bogan, Larry Bogan, Wes Hise, Dennis Martin, Ethan Martin and Albert Ailstock.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church.

  2. Bobby and I were in school together and worked together at the Homestead Gulf Station in Hot Springs. He was always a good friend to me. I didn’t know his service was today until I got home from church. I would have liked to have paid my respects to Bobby’s family. We will keep his family in our prayers. Donald Lee Altizer
