StinnettCharles Glen “Chuck” Stinnett, 84, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, native of Warm Springs, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Pembroke Pines Memorial Hospital in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
He was born October 31, 1928 in Warm Springs, the son of the late Ruby & Frances Criser Stinnett.
Mr. Stinnett was in active duty in the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from Eastern/Continental Airlines in Fort Lauderdale, where he was the travel coordinator for the Miami Dolphins; accompanying them on their flights. He enjoyed traveling abroad with his wife, Patricia.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia “Pat” Fry Stinnett, of Pembroke; 2 sister-in-laws, Mary Sue Deaner of Hot Springs, Virginia and Marie Cleek of Warm Springs; nieces and nephews, Michael Deaner & wife Crystal of Hot Springs, Jeff Cleek of Warm Springs, Natalie Fitzgerald & husband Tim of Fishersville, Virginia, Ronnie Stinnett & George Stinnett, Jr. both of Covington, Virginia, Patsy Ann Woodson, Shelia Hicks, Joey & Joshua Deaner, Kaylee Deaner and Jay Woodson; a godson, Todd Buice of Santa Barbara, California; and many other beloved nephews, nieces and friends from all over.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2013 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home, with Mr. Ricky Jacobs officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Deaner, Joshua Deaner, Joey Deaner, Jeff Cleek, George Stinnett, Jr. and Robert Shifflett. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.

Hello Pat, I had the pleasant opportunity to spend countless hours and days with Chuck at the Miami Sales Office of Eastern during the 60’s and 70’s and then in Fort Lauderdale when he worked with Loren Cain, Dennis Shine, Dave Moore and others. I never knew a more pleasant, dedicated individual to share time with and have as a friend and co-worker. Bill Delahanty
