Charlotte Entsminger Richmond, 73, of 1401 Jackson Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, passed away Sunday, January 03, 2016 at LewisGale Hospital Alleghany in Low Moor, Virginia.
She was born October 28, 1942 in Covington, Virginia, the daughter of the late Henry Jordan Entsminger and Dorothy Isabell Deffinbaugh Entsminger.
Ms. Richmond was retired from the Homestead Resort Stewards Department. Prior to that she was employed at the TAP where she was a Math and English teacher for the GED Department. She was a loving mother who enjoyed her children and making crafts.
She is survived by five children, Yvonne Register of Graceville, Florida, Brian Bland & girlfriend Etta Botkin of Covington, Timothy Flenner of Hot Springs, Virginia
Donna Bland and Christie Richmond, both of Clifton Forge, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Brandon Dewayne Bland & wife Rose, Timothy Bryant, Travis Lakeith & wife Heather, Madajah Lynn Shinault, Brian Lee Shinault, La’Sean Flenner and Dameon Flenner, Sean Sullivan, Christopher, Emma, Isiah, Jordan, and Marcus Bland; and a sister, June Smith of Covington.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter “Sonny” Entsminger and Henry “Druen” Enstminger; two sisters, Margie Graham and Dolly Martin; three grandchildren, Shawn Dewayne Bland, Joseph McKinnley Shinault and Heaven Flenner.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday January 6th, 2016 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Lorrie Aikens officiating. Interment will be in Alleghany Memorial Park ~ Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.
