Charlotte Faye Humphries Taylor, 77, of Covington, Virginia went to be with her Lord Saturday, 1:00 a.m., the 9th of June 2018.

She was born December 14, 1940 in Covington, Virginia, the daughter of the late Toney Reid Humphries, Sr. and Bertie Ford Humphries.

Charlotte spent most of her life in Pennsylvania up until the last five years when she moved to her brother’s home on Dunlap Creek Road in Covington. She was a member of the Hot Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by a brother; Garland Humphries, Sr. & wife Sharon of Covington; a sister, Shirley Mae Fox of Staunton, Virginia; 3 children, Tammy Kay Fitzgerald of Roanoke, Virginia, Susan Taylor White & husband Brian of Rocky Mt., Virginia, Wayne Edward Taylor & wife Lisa of Roanoke; 3 grandchildren, Candice Habennicht and husband Joseph, Sarah Sheppard and husband Cole & Joshua Taylor and wife Amanda all of Roanoke; 3 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Hot Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Garland Humphries officiating. Interment will be in Jones Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robby Rogers, Ronnie Buzzard, Wayne Taylor, Garland Humphries, Joshua Taylor and Boo Humphries.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church.
