Chester Norman Peruchini “The Padrone”, 91, of Warm Springs, Virginia, went home with Jesus on October 22, 2025. He was born on April 1, 1934, in Iron Mt. Michigan, to Celeste Peruchini and Florence E. Marlowe, and grew up in the Seattle area. He raised his family in Burbank, California and lived in Lancaster CA, San Diego CA, and Las Vegas NV, before moving to Virginia in 2003.
Always a sharp businessman, he started out washing and waxing mobile homes and ended up owning his own manufactured home business, Dura-Bilt.
He was a voracious reader, a rabid Seahawks fan, an incredible Italian cook and loved traveling in his motorhome or flying his airplane. He was beloved by his children and grandchildren who called him “Papa” and will be sorely missed. He was a faithful member of Faith Covenant Family Church in Hot Springs and loved by the congregation. Everyone agrees he had a special sense of humor and an unmistakable laugh. When asked how he was, his catch phrase answer was always “Absolutely Superbulous!”
He is preceded in death by his spouse Elaine, brother Frank, sister Charlotte and daughter Debbie. He was previously married to Rita Gardella who preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Paula and husband Steve Ricketts, as well as his children; Lisa Peruchini-Brady (Don), Sheree Peruchini, Dave Johnson (Linda), and Diane Parkinson. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren, Hilary, Clifford, Julia, Lyndsay, Marcus, Patsy, Jesslyn, Greg, Tina, and Ryan. Also left to remember him with love are his precious great grands, Owen, Michael, Roman, A.J. “Jack Rabbit”, Joey, Teagan and Abby. He also leaves behind nephews and nieces, David, John, Frankie, Sean, Samara, Brooke and Tracy.
A service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025 at McLaughlin and Young Funeral Home Chapel in Hot Springs, Virginia.
