Christopher L. Gwin, 32, of 201 Forestry Road, Hot Springs, Virginia, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at his residence.

He was born January 17, 1979 in Hot Springs, the son of Beverly Adkins and the late John A. Gwin who preceded him in death in 1986.

Chris was a self employed laborer. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman who loved being on the farm.

In addition to his mother, Beverly, he is survived by his step-father, Jimmy Adkins of Hot Springs; his grandfather, Arnold Gwin of Hot Springs; two brothers,      Jonathan Gwin & wife Ashley   of Covington, Virginia, Matthew Gwin & wife Shannon of Falling Springs, Virginia; three sisters, Tabby Avis of Burnsville, Virginia, Elizabeth Avis of Hot Springs and Mary Rogers of Hot Springs; two nephews Alex & Wyatt; two nieces Saige & Alexis; aunts & uncles, Rodney and Mary Avis, Kenny & Lygenia Gwin & Mike Kenney; special friends, Charles Keyser and Milton Deeds, his dog Chy Chy; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Catherine Gwin, and grandparents Bob & Mildred Kenney.

A funeral service will be conducted 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Eden United Methodist Church with Reverend Lennie Stinnett officiating.
