Cleotis Mariland Law, 79, of Hot Springs, Virginia died Monday, February 5, 2018 at Bath Community Hospital.
He was born February 15, 1938 in Millboro, Virginia, the son of the late Earl Eavey Law and Macil June Bryant Law.
Cleotis was formerly employed at F. Clayton Plecker & Sons for several years as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator. He especially liked using the backhoe. He loved working on cars and watching races. While in the Springs he looked forward to playing Bingo.
He was a member of Lifeline Ministries Church.
Cleotis is survived by his sisters, De Seawright of Hartwell, Georgia, Adeline Newton and husband James of Greenville, South Carolina, Hilda Robertson and husband Wallace of Hot Springs; several nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as a brother, Alvin Law.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Friday February 9, 2018 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Rev. David George officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 1:30 p.m. on Friday at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.
