  1. Abe was a great friend and neighbor and one who never met a stranger. He always had a joke or a funny story to tell you and you and always made your day to get to talk with him. He will be missed by so many, and a friend I will never forget. Rest in Peace Abe.

  7. I had the pleasure of visiting Abe and Agnes several times as Ed’s roommate at JMU for three years. He had so many jokes to tell, listened to you, and played several instruments. I know he showed me a thing or two on guitar. My heart goes out to the family. Remember, he is always with you in your hearts and minds, and he carries on in his children and grandchildren. When you see them, you see him. Love to all, and may you find comfort during this time of loss.

  8. Mrs. Pursley, Eddie, and Vicki,
I always enjoyed visits to your home when Ed and I were in college together. Abe always made the visits a great experience with his humor and mandolin playing. Abe friendship and infectious spirit across so many generations speaks volumes about what a wonderful person he was. You all are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
