Deborah Morris obit
CRAIGSVILLE — Deborah Sue Morris, 51, of 1225 4th St., Waynesboro, Virginia, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at her father’s residence in Craigsville, after a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 30, 1961, in Staunton, the daughter of Joseph Ronald Morris and Marian Ingram Ferguson.
Debbie was employed with the Augusta County School System.
She was a 1980 graduate of Fort Defiance High School. She loved the outdoors, camping and being with her friends and family.
She is survived by her father, Joseph Ronald Morris of Craigsville; her mother and stepfather, Marian Ingram Ferguson and Richard Ferguson Jr. of Waynesboro; a sister, Cynthia Ferguson Mayer of New York, N.Y.; two stepbrothers, Rick and Randy Ferguson of Florida.
Debbie was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Joe and Lois Morris; maternal grandparents, Andrew Preston Ingram and Pauline Ingram Longmire.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Craigsville Funeral Home with Pastor Claude Williams officiating. Interment will be in Craigsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her cousins and uncles. The family will receive friends Wednesday June 19, 2013, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

  1. With deepest symptathy to the family. Did not know her personally, but knew Cindy, Miriam, and Richard Ferguson. Way too young to leave this life, but she is truly in a much better place now.
