Edward Lee Johnson
Edward Lee Johnson, 62, of Hot Springs, Virginia died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Blue Ridge Cancer Care in Low Moor, Virginia.
He was born June 13, 1953 in Hot Springs, Virginia, the son of the late Raymond Johnson and June Beatrice Lester Johnson.
He was employed as a Security Guard at Bath County Hospital. Prior to that he worked for Cliffview Golf Course and the Homestead Resort.
He was a member of Eden United Methodist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father and friend to all.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Gwin Johnson whom he married on September 17, 1973; a son, Phillip Johnson of Hot Springs; and a sister, Judy Thacker & husband Dale of Troutville, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Johnson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Lorrie Aikens officiating & Pastor David George, assisting.

Just wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss. I worked for Eddie Lee at the golf course at the Homestead and he was so far the best boss I have ever worked for. Prayers for the family.
