Eleanora Josephine Reynolds Black, 86, of Millboro, Virginia died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Woodlands Health and Rehab Center in Clifton Forge, Virginia.
She was born October 5, 1931 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Harvey William Reynolds and Mary Viola Nicely Reynolds.
Eleanora was a lifelong homemaker.
She was a member of Horeb Baptist Church, where she was a member of the WMU and a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was also a loving mother and grandmother.
Eleanora is survived by her husband of 68 years, Everett Jackson Black of Millboro; children, Dianne Mynes of Clifton Forge, Timothy Lee Black and wife Charmain of Millboro, Jay Stewart Black and wife Linda of Millboro; grandchildren, Jason Pauley, Jeffrey Black, Nathan Black, and Aubrey Black; great grandchildren, Sydney and Jett Black; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her 10 brothers and sisters. She was the youngest and last of her family.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 at Horeb Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Rollins officiating, and Rev. Steven Markem assisting. Interment will be in Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.
The family will receive friends two hours before the service at Horeb Baptist Church and at other times at Timothy or Jay’s homes.
Memorial contributions may be made to Horeb Baptist Church or Mountain Regional Hospice.
