Ellen Marie Wolfe, 65, of 14 Forestry Road, Ashwood Virginia, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Bath Community Hospital.
She was born October 4, 1945, in Bath County to the late George Washington Wolfe and Maude Audrey Wolfe. Miss Wolfe was a homemaker and retired after ten years with the Homestead Laundry. She enjoyed gardening, loved traveling, and was a dear friend to all.
Miss Wolfe is survived by three brothers, George E. Wolfe, of Ashwood, Virginia; Sydney Leo Wolfe and wife Joyce, of Roanoke, Virginia; and Kenneth W. Wolfe and wife Tammy, of Cold Creek Colorado; and a sister-in-law, Elsie Florence Wolfe, of Warm Springs, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Miss Wolfe was preceded in death by one brother, Julian Lee Wolfe.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011, at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastors Billy Robertson and Donald Lee Altizer officiating. Interment will follow in Warm Springs Cemetery, Warm Springs, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Albert Ailstock, Ray Wright, Justin Woodzell, James Wolfe, George Lindsay, and David Lindsay.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2011 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home, in Hot Springs. Following the funeral services, on Saturday afternoon, the family invites everyone to the home of Elsie Wolfe, 245 Klondike Drive, Warm Springs, for a celebration of Miss Wolfe’s life.
