Fay Lee Hise, 76, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Tuesday, August 04, 2020 at the Bath County ER in Hot Springs, Virginia. 

     He was born May 3, 1944 in Mustoe, Virginia, the son of the late Elzy Lee Hise and Elizabeth Lillian Inscore Hise. Fay was a self-employed mechanic.

     He was a member of Eden United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and working on vehicles. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren and teaching them about life. He was a father figure to a lot of children in the community. He liked to ride 4 wheelers and building things. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all.

     He is survived by his wife, Boni Mae Fowler Hise whom he married on July 9, 1988;  six children, Moe Hise & Fiancé Stacy Sexton of Warm Springs, Virginia, Tommy Hise of Hot Springs, Cherie Robertson & husband Ronnie of Hot Springs, Melinda Hise of Shelby, North Carolina, Tina Dunaway & husband Keith of Clifton Forge, Virginia and Heather McDaniel & husband Justin of Waynesboro, Virginia;  grandchildren, Laura & Brittney Hise both of Roanoke, Virginia, Ashli & Tommy Hise both of Hot Springs, Matthew Robertson, Miranda Crouse and Mironica Robertson all of Hot Springs, Nick Parker of Boiling Springs, North Carolina, Megan Parker of Gastonia, North Carolina, Dustin Parker of Walhalla, South Carolina, Arielle Dunaway of Clifton Forge, Jeffrey Hamilton III of Hot Springs and Jonah Taschwer of Alliance, Ohio. numerous great grandchildren, three brothers, Howard Hise of Warm Springs, Burley Hise & wife Darlene of Hot Springs, Rodger Hise & wife Linda of Seneca, South Carolina.

     He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Charles & Fred Hise.

     A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

  5. To all the family, I’m sorry for your loss. But take great pride in knowing it’s not just your loss, Everyone who knew him has a big void to fill. Faye was a good man. He helped me more times than I can count. I just hate this, I really do. I’m just glad he is in a better place. He won’t have to bust his knuckles anymore. Where he is going, nothing needs a tune-up.
