FredFred Wesley Hise, 78, of Hot Springs, Virginia died Monday, November 30, 2015 at Augusta Health of Fishersville.

He was born May 28, 1937 in Alexandria, Virginia, the son of the late Elzy Lee Hise and Elizabeth Lillian Enscore Hise.

Fred was previously employed as a landscaper and irrigator for BBC of Florida.

He was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church.  He enjoyed time with family, loved to shop and go to yard sales, and always enjoyed gardening.

Fred is survived by his children: Darlene Hise, Wesley Hise & wife Tina, Michael Hise & wife Carolyn, Richard Hise & wife Karen, Ronald Hise & wife Angel, and Shawn Hise, all from Hot Springs, Virginia, Brenda Gutting & husband Stuart of Johnson City, Tennessee; 21 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers; Howard Hise of Warm Springs, Fay Hise & wife Boni, Burley Hise & wife Darlene, both from Hot Springs, Virginia, Roger Hise & wife Linda of Seneca, South Carolina; and two special companions: Princess & Ellie May.

He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte who preceded him on October 5, 1998, a step-son, Pete Jones; a brother, Charles Hise; and a sister-in-law, Bertha Hise.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Lorrie Aikens officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Hise, Michael Hise, Ronald Hise, Jonathon Hise, Fred Hise, and Richard Hise.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 6 – 7 p.m. at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.
