Gary Saunders Norton, 76, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at his residence.
He was born April 22, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late William L. Norton and Bernice D. Saunders Norton.
Mr. Norton was a retired teacher after 15 years of service.
He was a veteran of the United States Army from which he was honorably discharged.
Mr. Norton was a member of the Warm Springs Presbyterian Church, the Association of Physics Teachers, the American Sailing Association and the Army Reserve Pistol Team.
He is survived two children, David G. Norton & wife Cathy of Lansing, Michigan Sharon K. Anderson & husband Tim of Cedar Springs, Michigan; and three grandchildren, Logan, Carter and Morgan Anderson.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Michael H. Norton & William J. Norton.
A graveside service will be conducted at a later date in the Culpeper National Cemetery.
