George Cleek Bryant, Sr., 76, of Hot Springs, Virginia died Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 13, 1937 in Bath County, the son of the late Carlos Anderson Bryant, Sr. and Mary Virginia Cleek Bryant.
George was retired from Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean Conflict.
He attended Eden United Methodist Church in Hot Springs, and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
George is survived by his special friend, Bettie Chestnut of Hot Springs; children, Dorla Bryant of Orlando, Florida, Brenda Sivitier of Covington, Virginia, George “Skipper” Bryant, Jr. of Laurel, Maryland and James Patrick Bryant of Covington; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Carlos “Wimpy” Bryant, Jr.
