Hazel L. Hazelwood, 64, of 266 Furnace Hill Road, Goshen, Virginia, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at her residence.
She was born July 2, 1948 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, the daughter of the late James H. Ingram and Rosie Forbes Ingram McAllister. She was married to the late George F. Hazelwood who preceded her in death in 1985. She was formerly employed with Stillwater Worsted Mills. She most recently worked with the Rockbridge County School system as a bus monitor. She loved to play bingo, enjoyed working in her yard and with her flowers and going to yard sales. She loved her family and spending time with friends.
She is survived by two children, Melissa Wilson & husband Roger and Miranda Hazelwood all of Goshen; two sisters, Doris Piner & husband Floyd of Churchville, Virginia and Lois Ingram & husband Eddie of Goshen; a brother, Donald Ingram & wife Pam of Goshen; a half brother, Bobby McAllister & wife Kathy of Fredericksburg, Virginia; a special friend, Margie Smith of Goshen; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Shifflett and a brother Marvin Ingram.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 3, 2012 at Goshen Baptist Church with Mr. Lloyd Via & Pastor Scott Reese officiating. Interment will be in the Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery.
