Helen.jpgHelen Mae Lindsay Williams, 79, of Millboro, Virginia died Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 24, 1940 in Warm Springs, Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles Lindsay and Maude Lindsay.

Helen was formerly employed as a cashier at Webb’s IGA and was a member of Windy Cove Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her sons, Glenn Reid Williams of Portsmith, VA, Neal Edward Williams and wife Rosemary of Chesapeake, VA, Tracy Richard Williams of Millboro; daughter-in-law, Danielle Williams Booth of Millboro; grandchildren, Roshelle Williams Beck and husband Chris, Chase Forrest Williams, Loren River Williams, Logan Sky Williams; great grandchildren, Cole and Remy Beck; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Glenn Charles Williams, who preceded her in death in 2017; a son, Cory Wayne Williams; and her brothers, Charles, Jack, Carl, Dennis, and Roy Lindsay.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Windy Cove Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rob Sherrard officiating. Interment will be in Windy Cove Presbyterian Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dale Thompson, David Mitchell, Dennis Dubec, Keith Lindsay, Michael Lindsay, and Clay Booth

The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2019 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Windy Cove Presbyterian Church, 102 Windy Cove Rd, Millboro, VA  24460.
