  3. Thurmond and I were so sorry to hear about Iris. She was a fine lady. Thurmond has wonderful memories of sharing Thanksgiving with the Leary family. Not only was she the best cook around, but opened her home to all of Jackie’s hunting buddies. I know heaven has prepared a feast and the angels are singing loud as they bring one of their own home. We love you Patty and Kim and our thoughts and prayers are with you. Thurmond and Julie Chambers

  5. This was one great lady. Knew her 75 years. We both are from Pond Hill. Many times her Dad would ask me to pick her up from work at Inn at night. When she married Jackie, wanted to stay at Pond Hill. My dad (George Harper Turner) sold her and Jackie land, where they made their home, behind our home. I visited Bath County Nov 2016, drove up to their home, wanted to visit IRIS. No one home, was told she was with her daughter, but was unable to find them. She will be missed by all that knew her, she was always had a great smile, would help anyone that needed help. She loved her parents and help them for many years. I will miss her, but she is in company with lot of her family and friends, and being god’s angle to all. God Bless.
