Jerome “Jerry” Kirby Polane, 73, of Hot Springs, Virginia passed away Saturday, December 07, 2019 at the Bath County Hospital, Hot Springs, Virginia.

He was born June 6, 1946 in Hot Springs, the son of the late Lewis Henry Polane and Elmer Kirby Polane.

Jerry was retired from the Homestead Resort where he worked in Outdoor Activities as a fishing guide. Prior to that he spent many years working at the Cascade Inn.

He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church; was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing. He was a loving husband & brother.

Jerry was married to the late, Joyce Bird Polane who preceded him in death on August 24, 2011.

He is survived by a brother, Ronald Polane & wife Sandy of Boca Raton, Florida; a sister, Natalie Cauley of Bacova, Virginia; and his faithful companion, “Chopper”.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
