Judith Shannon Peery Farley, 80, of 315 Peery Hollow Road, Hot Springs, Virginia died Friday, February 06, 2015 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.
She was born May 4, 1934 in Hot Springs, Virginia, the daughter of the late Thomas Leffel Peery and Edith Carpenter Peery.
Mrs. Farley was retired from the Homestead Resort with over 33 years of service in the housekeeping department.
She was a loving wife & mother. She was a member of the Bath Senior Citizens Group and the Sinking Springs Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed doing crafts.
She was married to the late Bruce Farley her husband of 30 years who preceded her in death on March 4, 1995.
She is survived by a son, Bruce Junior Farley & wife Darlie of Hot Springs; a brother, Sharn Peery & wife Ella of Waynesboro, Virginia; a sister, Ruth Hepler of Covington, Virginia; and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; a daughter, Susan Gail Farley; and a brother, Ira Peery.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 9, 2015 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Pillow officiating. Interment will be in Union Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Hepler, Jimmy Hepler, Robbie Hepler, Todd Fry, Kevin Fry & Robert Cofield.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
