Kenneth N. Peery, 54, of Hot Springs, Virginia, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at his residence.
He was born September 14, 1957 in Hot Springs, the son of Carl Lee and Charlotte Peery. Mr. Peery worked at Westvaco on the #8 Paper Machine. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed woodworking. He was a devoted son and a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his parents, Carl and Charlotte Peery of Hot Springs; three children, Clinton & wife Nicole of Redding, California, Justin and Shawnda both of Charlottesville, Virginia; two brothers, Carl “Lee” Peery, Jr. & wife Debbie of Hot Springs, Gregory Peery & wife Cassandra of Gaffney, South Carolina; two sisters, Vicki Thompson & husband Larry of Winchester, Virginia, Penny Driedger & husband Arnie of Timberville, Virginia; a grandson, Mason Neal Peery of Redding; the mother of his children, Penny Peery of Hot Springs; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 25 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Thompson and Pastor Steve Shaver officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the services; or anytime at the home of Carl & Charlotte Peery .
