Maude Keyser Pritt, 99, of Hot Springs, Virginia died Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Bath Community Hospital in Hot Springs.
She was born April 24, 1913 in Bath County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Landon H. Keyser and Josie Mayhew Keyser. She was married to the late Dawson Pritt.
Mrs. Pritt was employed at the Homestead Shops with over 60 years of service in the Retail Department. She was the oldest living member of the Hot Springs Presbyterian Church and participated with Meals on Wheels for a number of years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and knitting.
She is survived by two nieces, Collie Ryder & husband Ray of Mountain Grove, Virginia and Carol Allen & husband Billy of Burnsville, Virginia; several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Hot Springs Presbyterian Church with Reverend Glenn Coleman officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy May, Jr., Eddie Ryder, Bobby Bogan, Bobby Fry, Mike Spurgeon and Tom Mace. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pete Haynes and Jullian Griffin and other family and friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.
