Millie1Mildred “Millie” Mary Green Redman, 90, of Hot Springs, Virginia went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at her sister’s home.

She was born March 19, 1925 in Frankford, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Jasper Green and Vicie Agnes Boothe Green.

Millie was formerly employed at Gerber Baby Foods in Fremont, Michigan as a research technician.

She graduated from Frankford High School & Berea College in Kentucky. Millie was a teacher of Home Economics and an active and faithful member of the Hot Springs Baptist Church for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved the outdoors and working in the garden with flowers.  Millie was an excellent seamstress and cook and loved to travel.

Millie is survived by her daughter: Josephine King & husband Harvey of Bastrop, Texas; grandchildren: Stephen Redman, Dana Redman, Suzanne Redman, David Crisler, Phillip Crisler, Daniel King, Christopher King, Bianca Welch; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; brothers; William Alvin Green & wife Shirley of Frankford, WV, Edward Jasper Green of Columbus, Indiana; sister; Glenna Runyon of Hot Springs, Virginia; daughter-in-law; Patricia Redman of White Cloud, Michigan; special niece & caregiver Carolyn Runyon Tingler of Covington, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gustav Redman, Sr.; her son Gustav “Sonny” Redman, Jr.; sisters, Alline Mae Brenneman, Vada Elizabeth Green, Orbi Della Green; brothers-in-law, Richard Brenneman and John Runyon; and a granddaughter Tammy Crisler.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Hot Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Garland Humphries officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Scyphers, Justin Scyphers, Jimmy Ditty, Roger May, Sam Campagna, Jr., and Tommy Seabolt.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
