She was born January 10, 1922 in Bath County, the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Collins and Amanda Bernice May Collins.
Nora was employed at The Homestead as a cashier and phone operator.
She was a member of Warm Springs Presbyterian Church, the Women’s Auxiliary, and the Red Hats. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who truly loved life.
Nora is survived by her son: Walter Terry and wife Claudia Jo of Raphine, VA Daughter-in-law: Becky Terry of Kingsport, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren: Michael Terry, Nathaniel Terry, Sarah Trinidad, Corrine Allen, Heather Cliff, and Troy Myerhoeffer;
several great grandchildren; brothers; James “Ed” Collins and wife Josephine of Roanoke, and Ira Collins and wife Mildred of Anniston, AL; sister; Juanita Smith & husband Burton of Hot Springs; other; many nieces and nephews; and her special little dog, Honey.
She was preceded in death by Milton Terry, her husband of 55 years, her son Wilson Terry, and her sisters Evelyn Lindsey and Beulah Hardison.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m., December 27, 2014 at Warm Springs Presbyterian Church with Pastor Lorrie Aikens and Pastor Charles Reed officiating.
Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery.
