  3. Sue and I were saddened to hear of Allen’s passing. Allen was one of those unique guys who one never forgets. One of the joys of traveling to our home in Big Valley was to pass Allen working in his garden. One only had to look at his flowers and vegetables next to the road to know where he found true enjoyment. Frequently we would stop and catch up on the local gossip and enjoy Al’s unique sense of humor: A humble guy, always steady, and a good friend. He will truly be missed.
