1765287_1447072854.6964[1]Roscoe Junior Ryder, 72, of Alderson, West Virginia died Saturday, November 07, 2015 at his residence on 288 Bobs Run, Alderson, West Virginia.

He was born October 8, 1943 in Bath County, Virginia, the son of the late Roscoe Coy Ryder and Martha Robertson Ryder.

Mr. Ryder was retired as the master custodian at Boone High School in Orlando, Florida.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He attended Griffith Creek Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Deborah Servidio Ryder of Alderson; 2 children, Melody Ryder Hinkle & husband Delbert of Front Royal, Virginia and Keith Nelson Ryder & wife Jolene of Winchester, Virginia; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 9 brothers & sisters, Marie S. Grose of Hot Springs, Virginia, Royce S. Ryder of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Diana L. May of Hot Springs, Patsy Meshew and Darlene Campbell both of Savannah, Georgia, Mike Ryder of Warm Springs, Virginia, Tony Ryder of Hot Springs, Daniel L. Ryder of Millboro, Virginia and Lucille Hannah of Lexington, Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Lou Ryder & Rebecca Ann Ryder; & 2 brothers Hugh C. Ryder and Bobby M. Ryder.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 12, 2015 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Audie Sorg officiating. Immediately following the services, the family will receive friends at the Warm Springs Presbyterian Church fellowship hall.
