Roy Kenneth Cauley, 85, of 39 Roller Ave., Mount Sidney, Virginia died Wednesday, April 02, 2014 his residence.
He was born February 3, 1929 in Bath County, Virginia, the son of the late Clarence Cameron Cauley and Mabel Williams Cauley.
Mr. Cauley was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Life Line Ministries. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and camping.
Mr. Cauley was preceded in death by 2 wives, Cazetta Cauley, Wanda Pullins Cauley.
He is survived by four children, Rebecca Cauley Moore of Lexington, Virginia, Thelsia Cauley Obts of Verona, Virginia, Cindy Cauley of Stuarts Draft, Virginia and Tina Cauley of Waynesboro, Virginia; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 2 sisters; Wilma Wriston & husband Lacy of Hot Springs, Virginia and Barbara “Jo” Stover & husband John “J.D.” of Roanoke, Virginia; and his favorite “dog son”, Snowball Cauley.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Cauley; a son, Roy Kenneth Cauley, Jr.; a brother, Charles Cauley; and 2 sisters, Emma Baldwin and Edna Rexrode.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Reverend Zach Royer officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hugh Shifflett, Randy Shifflett, JD Stover, Brandon Meadows, David Lockwood, Aaron Obst, Kane Obst and Jonathan Stover.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.

Wilma and Jo sorrow to hear about Roy. Got to know him better when he lived with Emma . He really loved his little dog.
