Sally Ann Philpott, 39, of Hot Springs, Virginia, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Bath Community Hospital in Hot Springs.

She was born April 9, 1986, in Covington, Virginia, the daughter of Loretta Jean Crance.

Sally was a graduate of Alleghany High School, where she was a member of the band. She was a devoted fan of Shinedown and attended multiple concerts with friends, creating lasting memories and capturing special moments through photography. Sally was a loving wife, mother, and Nana who cherished time with her family and enjoyed making crafts. Her most treasured moments in life were those spent being a Mom and Nana, roles she held close to her heart above all else.

She is survived by her husband, James Eddie Philpott; her children, Adrianna Philpott of Hot Springs, Sara Wade and husband Jacob of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, and Jessica Philpott and husband Richard Aberle of Rensselaer, New York; and her grandchildren, Jamison Wade and Savanna Wade, both of Pittsylvania County. She is also survived by her brother, Blair King of Covington, Virginia, along with her loving aunts, uncles, extended family, and close friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home, with Glenn Stinnett officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

  3. Sally was a very special young lady and my siblings and I were very happy to call her our niece. Her health was so tenuous but she faced the challenges with amazing strength and courage. Rest sweet girl.

  10. I had the blessing of watching this amazing and fearless young woman mature through the years. She was sometimes a little bashful but also smart. Sally lived her life to the fullest. Her daughter and family meant everything to her. In the last few years she shared photos and memories with me. There will always be a place in my heart, but I know she is no longer sick or in pain. Fly high my beautiful niece. Heaven awaits you.
