James “Sam” McCutcheon, 73, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, formerly of Craigsville, Virginia, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his residence.
Sam was born March 11, 1940 in Augusta County, Virginia to the late Dora Mae McCutcheon. He was married to Bonnie McCutcheon who preceded him in death on March 18, 2003. He worked at Stillwater Mills in Augusta Springs. Sam was of Baptist faith and loved to hunt and fish. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by two daughters, Dela Mae McCutcheon of Staunton and Tracy Lorraine McCutcheon & fiancé Robert Oscar, Sr. of Waynesboro; three sons, Bobby Lee McCutcheon of Norfolk, David Richard McCutcheon & wife Tammy of Pennsylvania, and Randy Eugene McCutcheon & fiancé Lori Sprouse of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several half brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Bonnie McCutcheon; two sons, Larry Eugene McCutcheon and James Edward McCutcheon; and a great granddaughter, Santana Bender.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Craigsville Community Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Forbes, Galen Adkins, Ira Fridley, Donald Woods, and Edward Corbin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013 at Craigsville Funeral Home.
