Stephen Wayne Giles, 64, of Covington, Virginia, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, at his residence.
He was born on June 13, 1961, in Hot Springs, Virginia, the son of the late William Maurice Giles, Sr., and Norma Jane Hedge Giles.
Stephen worked for over two decades as a forklift operator for The Bacova Guild in Virginia.
He loved to watch TV and enjoyed bowling in his younger years. Stephen especially cherished spending time with his sister and her family. Growing up, he attended Life Line Ministries in Hot Springs, Virginia with his family.
He is survived by a sister, Ladonna Ann Knight of Covington, Virginia; a half-brother, B.J. Giles Jr. of Indiana; three nieces, Dessie Hamilton and wife Laura of Covington, Tambra Camden and husband Cameron of Beuna Vista, Virginia, Star Martin and husband Alan of Collinsville, Virginia; and many great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2026, at Warm Springs Cemetery with John Young officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
