Terry Dean Roberts, 50, of Burnsville, Virginia died Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Bath Community Hospital.
He was born in Staunton, Virginia on December 16, 1961, the son of the late Claborn Roberts and Janet Louise Roberts. Terry provided home care for his mother and brother. Prior to that, he worked with the Waynesboro school system. He was a member of Burnsville United Methodist Church and could always be seen with a smile. He was “happy-go-lucky” and always put others before himself. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Roberts of Burnsville; four brothers, Claborn Roberts, Jr. of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, Ralph Todd “RT” Roberts of Burnsville, Kenny Roberts of Burnsville, and Darrell Roberts of Staunton.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Ernestine Roberts.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2012 at Burnsville United Methodist Church with Pastor Donald Altizer and Pastor Lorrie Aikens officiating. Burial will follow at Burnsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Jefferson, Alan Price, Travis Martin, Chris Byers, Doug Durrett, Charlie Hess, Jack Dawson, and Ray Huffman. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Price, John Wayne Huppman, Tony Rankin, Louie Mohenzie, and William Jefferson, Jr. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Burnsville United Methodist Church.

  7. I am so sorry to hear about Terry, he was a great guy. Terry never met a stranger, and never forgot an old friend. Terry, RT, and I will always share a time in life, as well as, the rest of your family. Janet my heart goes out to you, losing a Son, I pray God will watch over you, and comfort you through this time of sorrow.
